CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

This course will prepare students for the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification. Successful course outcomes will prepare and qualify you to apply for your CCNA certification. Topics include networking fundamentals, LAN Switching Technologies, configuring and troubleshooting Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), Routing Technologies, WAN Technologies, Infrastructure Services, Infrastructure Security, Infrastructure Management, Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP), Per VLAN Spanning Tree Plus Protocol (PVST+), EtherChannel, and Hot Standby Routing Protocol (HSRP). Students will configure and deploy routers and switches in a complex network using Multi-Area Open Shortest Path First (Multi-Area OSPF) and Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) protocols. Students will also learn to troubleshoot and resolve issues with Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP), Frame-Relay, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and Network Address Translation (NAT). Additionally, students will have the opportunity to monitor network traffic using Syslog, SNMP, and Net Flow analytical applications.

  • students who have some experience in IT desk support, networking, troubleshooting and
  • current network engineers who need to increase their value to employers and stay current with advances in networking.
