Welcome to the English Department of Delaware Technical Community College. The classes in our program are designed to provide you with the skills you need to communicate effectively and efficiently both in your chosen major and in a work environment. Courses cover everything from basic fundamentals to advanced global communication skills. We can help you cultivate a professional persona that reflects confidence, adapts to diverse populations and environments, and positions you for success in future courses and a changing workplace.

Core Curriculum Competencies

The Core Curriculum Competencies listed below identify what you will be able to do as a graduate, regardless of your program of study. You will acquire these core competencies through general education courses and program-specific coursework. You will be expected to use relevant technology to achieve these outcomes:
